the_binna_binna_man_rap rap point 2 from St Mary's Central School Wellington NSW

We are a small group of Year 8 students and we enjoy receiving your rap points. We think that the advantages of following your cultural beliefs are that it gives you a sense of belonging and reverence. We think that your beliefs will keep your family together because you are relied upon to pass down your faith from generatioin to generation. If a person loses contact with their culture, you will lose all of the things that were mentioned above. You will also lose contact with your relatioins because you will be excluded from something that everybody else belongs to.
Incidents in the book which support this are:
Pg 50 - two of the boy cousins have learnt the traditional dance from their elders. It shows that without the common link of faith, the tradition would have been long forgotten.
Pg 53 - Aunty Lil has lost her faith and now that is all important is alcohol.
Well, we are all rapped out for today. Until nest time! From Cristy, Carissa, Pru, Abigail and Simon (Nippy).
