the_binna_binna_man_rap Binna Binna Man Rap Point 2-Bankstown Girls H,S,

Our group thought that if the Aboriginal boy followed his culture and beliefs, it would give him

power, strength and identity. If the boy loses contact with his Aboriginal culture and doesn't

listen to his elders, he will lose his feeling of belonging and empowment.  The Aboriginal boy

needs to believe in his culture.

In the book, the boy's cousin gets drunk and the boy has to go and find her  and rescue her.

His strong beliefs help him to do this.  Also during and after the funeral the boys beliefs give

him comfort and direction in getting through the ordeal.     Everyone  had to cry and get the

madness out and get through the hurt and in the  end the boy was fine because of his strong beliefs and     strong belief in himself.
