the_binna_binna_man_rap Rap Point 3 BGHS

Hey, Rappers!

Here's the response to Rap Point 3!

The Binna Binna Man says that the adults should look out for the younger people, and the younger generation should look out for the old ways.
This means that the adults should watch over and guide the young people, and the young pople should respect and remember the old ways. This keeps them alive in the way that they don't lose their identity, who they are.

"There's no-where to run-you can't hide from yourself"-pg 73, Girragundji.
This quote symbolises that the old ways give their people the means and spirit to solve these and such other problems. It also implies that they can be reassured and supported by the old ways, in the knowledge that they will always be there to support and guide their people, even as they are adapting to another culture.

"You can go off and play your techno whiz-diz things, but you've got to remember where you're from. You've got to know the ways of your place. You forget that, and you get weak. You get weak, you die. Don't forget where you come from. Listen to the old people, with your eyes and ears, but most of all with your heart. Your elders, they didn't get old from being stupid"-pg 86, Popeye Bobby.
In this quote, Popeye Bobby is showing that by using the old ways, the people can have the strength to deal with any issues or problems in their new culture. If they do not turn their backs on their heritage.

Have a great holiday everyone!
