We are from Forbes. Forbes is situated in the Central West and is a small country town of about of about 8000 people. Forbes has recently and is still effected by the drought that is effecting most of N.S.W at the moment.
Forbes has many historical buildings which were featured in the movie 'The Dish'. Our community is involved in many festivals and events, such as The Camel Races, Jazz Festival, Australia Day, Anzac Day, Forbes Show and the Forbes Eisteddfod.
There are two high schools in Forbes. We attend Forbes High School, which is a public school. Our school is situated on top of a hill. There are around 550 students at our school, so our school is only a small school. Our class is a year 10 class consisting of 28 students with the majority of them being girls. We have only 3 boys in the class.
We consider ourselves to be easy going, happy go lucky, friendly students. We consider ourselves to be restricted in a small rural town- having not much to do and having to travel everywhere for everything.
