The cover positions the responder to believe that something bad will happen with the storm clouds moving towards each other which will create an environment of fear.The torn and ripped sails emphasise uncertainty and negativity.
The shadows stretch over the land which shows the darkness scarring the land once the rabbits landed. The sky looks as if everything is happy and just fine from where the ship has come from. The land where the rabbits have arrived has a darkness hovering over it suggesting that it may be a sadder, more desolate place.
The blurb is different to other books that we have read. It makes you turn the book on its side. Only a little bit of information is written about the text and this makes the reader want to know more.
