Introducing... 10 Red at Deni High! Our school is located in the town of Deniliquin, about 45 minutes from the Victorian border, population 8,000. We have about 640 kids at school. It gets very hot and dry here in summer, but we can always go jump in the river if we start to boil. In winter it is cold and windy, and whenever Miss Kermode washes her car, it always rains. Always.
Our claims to fame are the Deni Ute Muster and the famous ute-on-the-pole, the Edward River, Peppin-Merino sheep, Wills from Burke & Wills worked as a shepherd here, the third biggest rice mill in the southern hemisphere, Simon O'Donnell (cricketer), Leo Barry (Sydney Swans), Roy Higgins (Melbourne Cup winning jockey), and of course, home to the amazingly wonderful 10 Red!
We are a very talkative and bubbly class and look forward to hearing all your thoughts about The Rabbits.
