Our students are away on work experience this week so I am going to copy up some of their points from the rap reflection sheet.
"I learnt that I can use what I learnt in art in other parts of life"
"I thought we'd have more contact and conversations with other schools".
"We needed more time to do the questions....but I feel as if I am behind in my English studies for the School Certificate".
"that both Shaun Tan and John Marsden are very talented"
Others said I learnt :-
"that putting things in different places in the pictures means different things to the viewer"
"to be more patient with other people and listen to their ideas.I also learnt more about analysing texts and pictures"
"it was kind of scary to think that is how the English colonised Australia and that is how the Aboriginals felt"
"to look more deeply into the book and to look past the pictures and find the meaning"
"this book was a good book to rap . I would like to do another one soon.Is it possible to do a short novel?
"what a vector is"
"a little bit more about the history of Australia"
"the interaction part between the schools was a waste of time"
"the site was pretty complicated and I never knew what I was doing in the site"
"I love the pictures .They just blew me away.After all the time I spent looking at it , I never got sick of it."

Hi there,
Well fellow rappers, we have come to the end of our Book Rap on The Rabbits. I hope that you have all enjoyed it as much as I have. It has been interesting reading all your responses, and great to read Shaun's answers to all your questions. I'm sure you all appreciate the time Shaun has taken to answer your questions, there are more answers on the way.
Now for the last activity, the Rap reflection. Please post a group reflection response using the Rap Sheet as your guide. Tell us about what you have enjoyed about the Rap, and what you have leaned from this experience. Would you like to participate in another one? And any other comments about the rap.
I would like to say thankyou to all the schools who have particpated in The Rabbits book rap. I think it has been a valuable and enjoyable experince for all who were involved.
