therabbits04_rap Glen Innes...Book Rap-up!!:)

G'day fellow rappers,

We have enjoyed discussing the wonderful and thoughtful book, The Rabbits with you and we feel we have learnt a lot from our experience we would recommend this highly to younger years. We would like to thank Shaun Tan for answering our questions and his imaginative illustrations.

We send out a big thank you to everybody who helped organise this Book rap, including our teaches and other teachers that allowed their classes to take part in this event to enlighten us with their ideas.

Our thoughts on the book are:

Emma: I thought the illustrations were very detailed and interesting.

Josh: I thought the story was creative. Also the pictures suited the story very well.

Carissa: I thought it was interesting to see what the other schools thought about the book.

Caitrin: I thought it was clever the way that John Marsden and Shaun Tan translated history so that a younger generation could understand it easier.

Cass: I thought book was very fascinating and I enjoyed finding the hidden meanings in the pictures.

The meaning of the book shows very clearly the problems of white colonisation of Australia.

Farewell, Em, Caity, Cass, Carissa and Josh.
