Hi. I'm a yr 10 student in parramatta H.S.
The thing which had the most impact on me in scene 16 of whale rider was
that Koro's acceptance of change had brought peace to his community..
I could see this when Pai has the whale tooth around her neck and Koro's
arms around her looking very proud.
Koro has learnt to accept Pai as the leader and and is now proud of her
Also Koro starts to relise how wise Pai is.
He gives an opportunity to Pai to take the place as the new
leader.
The film tecnique used in this scene was spectacular.
The director many of close up shots, for example when Koro and Pai is on
the boat on he very last scene, and when Pai goes up on to of the whale..
