whalerider05_rap Port Macquarie Reflections Part 1

During this rap, the Yr 10 English class at Port Macquarie has:

Learnt-

About identifying filmic techniques in movies.

That there are so many factors involved in making a film. It is a lot
harder than I thought it would be.

That the movie covers lots of filmic techniques that are easy to study.

That film making takes a great deal of consideration in all aspects. I've
learnt that film making is mentally challenging as it involves a lot of
decision making and patience.

I learnt about all the different shots and what 'cinematography' means.

I have learnt that there are more things that count in a movie besides the
script and actors, like
symbolism, lighting, costume, camera shots and angles.

I learnt about different cultures.

That you have to do a lot of research just to get the scene and lighting
right.

All the different angles of the camera and lighting, also about rites of
passage.

I have learnt about other cultures and rites of passage.

How to do a storyboard.

I have learnt a lot about analysing films and their techniques. I also
learnt about rites of passage.

THE BEST PART ABOUT BEING INVOLVED IN THIS FILM RAP WAS:

Asking Jane Mills questings and reading her responses.

Watching the movie.

Learning what other students thought about the film proved interesting.

Being able to be creative and seeing things come together.

Reading other people's raps.

You get to go on the computers.

Asking questions and getting them answered by a real expert.

Learning about other cultures.

Asking Jane Mills questions about film making.

It was something a bit different to do other than doing normal work in a
classroom.

Learning new things about other countries.
