wilfrid_rap Rap Point 1 Coordinator message from Mrs Kirk

Hello rappers,

I hope your teacher will help you to read my email to
you.

Thank you all for your fantastic emails last week
telling us all about you! I hope everyone enjoyed
finding their class’ email on the Internet. WOW!
Aren’t you clever people?

Did you like reading the emails? Some of them came
from schools that may have been near to you but others
came from far away. Some of the schools may have been
the same size as yours, some bigger or smaller. Some
of the children may have been in the same grade as
you. Did you find a class like yours or were they
different? When I read the emails I found children
from Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 2 and even higher
classes. Did you?

This week we are going to read, draw, talk and write
about the book Wilfrid Gordon Mc Donald Partridge. Are
you ready to join us?

Firstly, you will talk in your class about memories
and why they are important?” Remember Mr Hosking, he
thought that memories are something from long ago. You
have to find out what all the old people told Wilfrid
Gordon that a memory is.

Next you will find out what things that Wilfrid Gordon
gave Miss Nancy to help her remember. I can think of
the football because that was Wilfrid’s favourite.
What other ones were there?

In your next email can you tell us why your class
thinks that memories are important and special to us
as well as the people in the story? Can you remember
something exciting or fun that you did at school this
year? Did you have an Easter Hat Parade? Did you have
a Grandparents’ Day? I want your class to choose the
best thing that happened and tell us about it in your
next email.

Can you think of a special object that helps you to
remember that time? Can you tell us all about it in
your email too?

Everyone is really looking forward to reading your
next email. Thank you for writing to us all. This book
rap will be a special memory for Mrs Scheffers and me.
Will it be a special memory for you too?

Happy rapping
