Class 5/6R thought Dusting and Milicent were competing to be Thesaurus's best friend and this caused a lot of conflict. In addition to being possessive over Thesaurus's friendship, Millicent and Dusting didn't get along because they are so different.
For example, 5/6R thinks
Millicent is bossy, a know-it-all, uses technical language, speaks poshly, is boastful and well-organised, but
Dusting is a bully, somewhat unintelligent (some of us said dumb!), strong-minded, a persuader/intimidator and always seems hungry!!!
However, 5/6R thinks there is one huge similarity between the two - both are self-centred.
Thesaurus was caught in the middle. He didn't want to choose between his friends.Thesaurus also couldn't understand his father's behaviour.
