Izzy thought Aunt Ivy didn't know Dusting very well, so she believed everything he said. However, by the end of episode 4 she knew him better, because she bought him drums,(although he was only allowed to keep the bongos) as a point of showing interest in him.
Anastassia and Rachael Hasler think that spending time together leads to more interest in each other.
Brittany thought Thesaurus ran away because his mother was acting unusually and wasn't showing any interest in him. By the end of the episode, his mother made an effort to spent more time with him.
Jordan noticed that Aunt Ivy and Dusting tried to spend time with each other - even with the use of cotton wool in their ears.
