The Department of Education and Training, on behalf of the NSW Government, operates a range of prevention and early intervention programs in targeted communities across NSW.

Schools as Community Centres
The Schools as Community Centres support families with young children birth to eight years with a particular focus on the years prior to school entry.
Each Schools as Community Centre project responds to the needs of local families with children by providing a range of activities such as supported playgroups, transition to school, early literacy programs, health and nutrition initiatives and parenting programs.
In 2010 across NSW there are 48 Schools as Community Centres projects.
Information has been collected on participation in initiatives implemented by SaCC projects across NSW.
