The best way to help your child in Reading Recovery is to make sure your child attends school every day in order not to miss a Reading Recovery lesson.
The targeted and individually tailored instruction of the Reading Recovery program requires regular lessons to achieve the best results.
Your child will bring home books each day to practise reading. Listen to your child read the books. Praise and encourage all efforts. These books need to be returned to your school each day.
Your child will also bring home an envelope with a cut up story in it to put back together and read to you.
