All students in NSW public schools are treated equally under the NSW Government Equity policy.
The State Equity Centre supports schools, institutes, teachers, consultants and their communities in implementing NSW Government equity priorities to achieve an informed and just society.
It offers a range of services and resources that can assist school, district and state education equity initiatives.
Some of the services include the Fair Go Library which offers resources for literacy and numeracy support, ESL and multicultural education, Aboriginal education, gender equity, student welfare, special needs awareness, home and school partnerships and schools reform.
The Multicultural Access Centre library has services including multicultural education, cross-cultural communication and training, migrant studies, community languages, adult literacy and training and vocational education and training.
Parents/caregivers are also welcome to use the library facilities.
