The judging panel
will consist of
- teachers
- officers from
the NSW Department of Education and Training and
- Internet experts.
Teams will be
judged equally on the purpose and content of the web site and on design
and implementation.
Purpose
and content
Entries will need
to:
- show the purpose
of the web site
- list the intended
audience
- list benefits
that were derived from involvement in the competition
- provide quality
content
- outline evidence
that the content has been selected and assessed for its relevance
and accuracy
- provide evidence
of teamwork and co-operation
- outline roles
and responsibilites of team members
- list the relevant
stakeholders contacted by the team e.g. students, teachers, parents,
interested community members
- provide copyright
information
- have correct
spelling and grammar on the site.

could be located on an 'About the project' page on the competition
web site.
Design
and implementation
Web site design
and implementation will be judged on the following criteria. The site
must:
- show evidence
of ongoing reviewing and modification to the site
- be appropriate
for the intended audience
- provide easy
navigation
- use consistent
elements throughout the site
- have no missing
elements or dead links
- be fast to
download
- demonstrate
the initiative the students have showed when gathering and designing
the elements for the site
- display correctly
in version 4 of Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers
- conform to
Departmental
guidelines. Please note that this page is located on the Department's
intranet site and is only available to users with a department account.
The judges will
have the final decision on all matters relating to the scoring of
the competition and the awarding of prizes.
